Genuine Sitka spruce top for great toneYamaha's FSX820C BS boasts a solid Sitka spruce top, handpicked for its exceptional sound quality and appearance. Renowned for its well-rounded tone and superb projection, Sitka spruce has long been the go-to choice for acoustic guitar tops in the industry. As this top is made from solid wood, its sound will only improve with time, gaining richer harmonics and greater tonal balance. Additionally, the FSX820C BS features updated scalloped bracing from Yamaha, allowing for increased top movement and delivering a more robust low end and greater projection.

Mahogany back and sidesThe back and sides of the FSX820C BS are constructed from mahogany, a popular tonewood for strummers due to its warm and well-balanced tone. This tonewood adds richness to the midrange frequencies and maintains clarity in the higher ranges. It offers a gentle and full sound, making it perfect for vocal accompaniment. The spruce top adds further liveliness and definition, resulting in a satisfyingly rich tone in Yamaha's FSX820CBS model.

Yamaha System-66 electronicsThe Yamaha FSX820C BS is equipped for stage performances. Its System-66 pickup and preamp electronics accurately capture the tone of the spruce and mahogany wood used in the guitar. The built-in preamp offers a 3-band EQ with adjustable mids to eliminate feedback. It also includes a convenient and efficient tuner, and the battery can be easily replaced on the upper bout of the guitar.
